Pair eye ‘social club for the rich’
HARRY and Meghan want to join a swanky private club which costs £240,000 just to get through the door.
Sources say pair are eyeing the Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club, part of the Four Seasons Hotel in Santa Barbara, near their new home in California. It is known as being a “social club for the rich and famous” and as “Santa Barbara’s playground of the stars”.
Membership is capped at 600 and locals say “every A-lister” in the area has joined, including Michael Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta Jones, as well as TV host Ellen DeGeneres. The late President Ronald Reagan was also a member there.
It has 22 acres of gardens, a restaurant and an aquarium bar. A £21.50 cheeseburger can be washed down with a £14 Coral Sunset cocktail — that’s gin, grapefruit, lime and what the menu calls “muddled cucumber”.
