REUNITED Rudy and his pet

BOO-BOO the chihuahua saved his 86- year- old owner’s life when he suffered a stroke.

Rudy Armstrong, a navy veteran who lives alone on a houseboat, realised he was having a stroke but was partially paralysed and unable to reach his phone.

He said: “I didn’t want to be there for a couple of days before somebody would come by so I said, ‘OK, Boo-Boo, go get me some help’.”

The tiny dog ran off and returned with the dockmaster, who summoned paramedics to the scene in North Carolina, USA.

Mr Armstrong was taken to hospital then reunited with Boo-Boo five days later. He revealed: “I’ve got tears running out of my eyes. I’ve missed her so much.”
