PREM ROUND-UP

LEADERS Exeter Chiefs eased to a 26-13 win against a new-look Leicester Tigers in their first Premiership game in 161 days due to Covid-19.

Stuart Hogg, Dave

Ewers and Luke CowanDickie all crossed in the game behind closed doors.

For Tigers it was a defeat to mark Steve Borthwick’s first game as head coach although his struggling side – only off the bottom due to Saracens’ points penalty for salary breaches – competed for long periods.

Gloucester took full advantage of Worcester full-back Melani Nanai’s first-half red card to thump the Warriors 44-15.

England wing Jonny May was felled on 18 minutes by Nanai’s no-arms tackle. Ollie Thorley scored two of Gloucester’s six tries.

Two Tom Dunn tries and one from debutant Ben Spencer gave Bath a 34-17 win over London Irish.
