Dong: I’ve done City so wrong
BIRMINGHAM CITY bigwig Dong Ren has claimed responsibility for the last three years of hurt at St Andrew’s.
The club’s chief executive officer has admitted to a string of mistakes that almost pushed the Blues into League One.
Dong also oversaw a catastrophic spending spree during the summer of 2017 which ended in a nine-point deduction after the Blues spectacularly broke the EFL’s profit and sustainability rules.
He said: “It has been mental. Do I include myself in the criticism? All day.
“I’m accountable if things go wrong.
“It’s been no one else’s fault. If something has not been done properly, then that’s my fault.”
Dong predicts a better future for the Blues under boss Aitor Karanka after banking over £40million from the sales of Jude Bellingham and Che Adams. He said: “This club is in very good shape.
“Not many could have recovered like we have.”
