HORNET COULD BUZZ OFF
WATFORD’S Pervis Estupinan is wanted by Tottenham and Barcelona – even though he has never kicked a ball in anger for the Hornets.
The Ecuador left-back, 22, has been loaned out to Spanish clubs for three consecutive seasons and played 39 times in La Liga for Osasuna last season.
He had hoped to return to Vicarage Road to finally make a first-team breakthrough in 2020-21 – but relegation to the Championship has thrown a spanner in the works.
Now he is set for talks about his future, with Spurs and Barca waiting in the wings and Watford ready to cash in on the £15million-rated star. The fact that he will soon receive a Spanish passport increases his value in the market.
And Estupinan (left) said: “What happens next depends on Watford, but I am ready for any challenge.”
