Killing Eve’s Fiona spies a 007 opening

- EXCLUSIVE BY HALINA WATTS Showbiz Editor

KILLING Eve star Fiona Shaw says she could be the first female James Bond.

The actress, 62, was nominated for an Emmy for playing spymaster Carolyn in the BBC drama.

She said: “Gender, cast, race, all of these things are completely imaginative in the theatre and irrelevant.

“We must have more on screen. It has not happened enough on screen yet because people always have to map reality in movies, but maybe they shouldn’t. You know, maybe I should play James Bond. You know?”

She added that being cast as a middle- aged woman in Three Men and a Little Lady when she was only 31 spoiled her “heroine status” and “ruined” her film career.
