Food shop risk takes the biscuit

-

More C Covid confusion this we week – can we catch i it from our weekly shop or not?

Lab tests have shown it can survive for hours, if not days, on various forms of plastic. And the virus is more stable at lower temperatures, which is how most food finds its way to our shops and doors.

But some scientists reckon that outside a lab, the virus cannot survive for long anyway. Hmmm.

To be on the safe side, the advice is to sanitise your hands after you get out of the shop – so pick, pack, wash.

Then you should wash your hands after handling any packaging and before eating too.

Which is a small price to pay for a custard cream.
