This is a good week to think about buying…
A lawnmower
The cheapest month of the year to buy a lawnmower is August, meaning that once again, this really is a good time for greenfingered savers.
With news of the UK officially falling into a recession fresh in our minds, many of us may be reluctant to make any extravagant purchases. However, it is worth keeping in mind that there are ways to support the recovery of the economy without blowing your own budget.
When it comes to big-ticket items, it is advisable to make planned and well-researched purchases. Take time to scout out which models are available from which manufacturers, and then compare prices.
If the item you want is out of your budget at the moment, try setting a price alert on Idealo and you’ll be notified as soon as the price drops to your price.
This week, we reckon UK consumers will be buying… Clothes
The first couple of weeks of Eat Out To Help Out have been a roaring success with many restaurants completely booked up.
We think it’s likely that the public will continue to enjoy eating out for less and supporting their favourite restaurants, but with this is likely to come the desire to buy some new outfits.
While we had to make do with rare outings just for exercise and trips to the supermarket for several months this year, our interest in spending on clothes dropped.
Now the combination of good weather and the ability to go out means that lots of us will be looking for a new outfit.
