SARACENS will drop into the Championship with London bragging rights – after denting Harlequins’ top-four ambitions.
Relegated Sarries withstood a late fightback from Quins in Owen Farrell’s first appearance since England’s Six Nations victory over Wales in March.
The England skipper claimed 16 points with the boot in his 200th club appearance with tries from Sean Maitland, Maro Itoje, Aled Davies and Alex Lewington.
Two tries from Paul Lasike and one from Scott Steele threatened a Quins comeback but it wasn’t to be.
Sarries director of rugby Mark McCall said: “We played well in the first half but were sloppy in the last 20 minutes.”
