STEVIE HAS TO GEE UP DITHERING GERS

-

STEVEN GERRARD tore into his Rangers players to spark a 2-0 win over Kilmarnock yesterday.

A laboured Gers showing was kick-started by Kemar Roofe’s secondhalf opener before Ryan Kent, the subject of a failed £10million Leeds bid, sealed Gers’ Scottish Premiership win.

And Rangers boss Gerrard (above) admitted: “In the second half we played with more purpose and more intent – we were a bit frustrated at half-time.

“We’d been taking that extra touch and doing things too slowly. I had a little bit of a pop at half time, asked them to be a bit more purposeful, a bit quicker.”

Celtic, who are playing catch-up on their rivals, returned to league action with a 1-0 win at Dundee United thanks to a late Albian Ajeti goal.
