Dale right for Dyche

BURNLEY are preparing a move for Brighton midfielder Dale Stephens as boss Sean Dyche tries to bulk up his squad.

Stephens, 31, is in the final year of his deal at the Amex Stadium and is no longer guaranteed a start under Graham Potter.

Brighton must decide whether to cash in now or risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.

Stephens is from Bolton and a move to the northwest is likely to appeal.

Dyche is yet to make any signings this summer, but saw midfielder Jeff Hendrick walk away at the end of his contract.
