A BENEFICIARY of Marcus Rashford’s charity work last night hailed him as “outstanding”.

Caroline Woollam, partner David Birkett, daughter Keira, 12, and autistic son Ollie, 10, will get one of the food boxes the campaigning footballer packed in Greater Manchester this week.

Rashford helped distribute food to the Cherry Tree Project in Stockport – which has been supporting Caroline and her family since David lost his job as a driver at the start of the pandemic.

Caroline, 38, said: “What Marcus has done is outstanding.

“Without people like him, who are pushing for families like us, I dread to think where we would be.

“The extra fruit and fresh food from Cherry Tree has helped keep us from drowning.”

SCHOOL staff have provided nappies, baby milk and food for poor families, and hot meals for pupils, a head wrote to tell Tom Randall. The Tory MP for Gedling, Notts, helped vote down extending free schools outside term time.
