A new sleep calculator has been launched using a formula based on the body’s natural circadian rhythms in an attempt to give users the perfect sleep cycle.

It determines when they should be going to sleep depending on the time they need to wake up.

We sleep in 90-minute cycles and should be getting around five to six of these per night.

Halloween has been linked to a spike in cases of nut-related anaphylaxi­s — a type of severe allergic reaction.

Peanut-induced anaphylaxi­s increases by 85 per cent during Halloween and 60 per cent during Easter, according to research at McGill University in Canada.

Study author Melanie Leung says: “Children often receive treats from people who may be unaware of their allergies at Halloween.”

Coffee and green tea can help you live longer if you have type 2 diabetes, a study claims. Researcher­s in Japan found that drinking two cups of coffee plus four cups of green tea each day was associated with a

63 per cent lower risk of death among diabetics, who are more prone to cancer, dementia and circulator­y diseases.

Globally, 422 million people suffer from type two diabetes.

Foods that kill the mood in the bedroom include liquorice, pasta, soy, microwave popcorn and strawberri­es, according to health experts at food supplement company Testogen. They also say that diet drinks affect libido.

A spokespers­on for Testogen, which claims to boost natural testostero­ne, adds: “Cutting out these foods will increase the level of potency, libido and pleasure in the bedroom.”
