Rashford-inspired vow

-

LEEDS players are putting £25,000 behind the bid to feed the city’s vulnerable kids sparked by Marcus Rashford’s campaigning.

The Manchester United and England footballer has been the driving force behind the push to ensure no vulnerable child goes hungry during this week’s school holidays when they lose access to free meals.

Captain Liam Cooper made the pledge on Twitter: “Let’s do this, Leeds! No children should ever go hungry. £25,000 guaranteed from the Leeds United squad. We stand with you, Marcus Rashford.”

The skipper added: “Me and the players are really fortunate, we are in a position to help and delighted to support the campaign from Leeds City Council, inspired by Marcus. No kids should go to bed hungry.”
