Lamptey’s wage hike
BRIGHTON will reward Tariq Lamptey with a new deal in a bid to ward off interest from Bayern Munich.
The right-back has been a revelation since joining Brighton from Chelsea in January and his form has caught the eye of the German giants.
The 20-year-old is already under contract at the Amex until 2023.
But in recognition of his rise to prominence, the Seagulls are to increase his pay from £20,000 a week to bring him more into line with top earners.
The England Under-21 star came on three times as a Chelsea substitute — once in the league, twice in the FA Cup — before leaving to join the Seagulls.
