Football family right to back Marcus on front line

UNITED IN CARING

ED WOODWARD has joined the incredulous throng who cannot believe punters can go to a theatre but are unable to go to a match.

Not at the Theatre of Dreams nor anywhere in the four tiers of football. And he has a point.

But the fact our major cities are increasingly beset by restrictions surely makes any campaign to readmit fans a thankless task.

It is easy to see where Woodward (above) is coming from, but the Government is not going to lock down millions then urge everyone to get down to Old Trafford.

Let’s face it, we are seeing no more matchday fans in 2020.

ANYONE else intrigued by Jamie Redknapp (left) advertising machinewashable, affordable training shoes or Kevin De Bruyne promoting shirts to be worn untucked?

To think, in different eras, they were – and are – the epitome of midfield style.
