Parents dish it out to MPs
TWO Tory MPs who voted against free school holiday meal vouchers have been shamed by “empty plates” protests at their offices.
Furious parents covered the fronts of the Bury MPs’ constituency offices with paper plates and signs bearing slogans such as “Voted to starve kids”.
The Bury People’s Assembly organised the action against Christian Wakeford and James Daly.
Footballer Marcus Rashford began the campaign to extend school meals.
