Lineker: BBC trusts in me
GARY Lineker has defended airing his views on social media and says BBC bosses are “perfectly happy” with his conduct.
The Match of the Day presenter spoke after new impartiality guidelines came out on Thursday.
Lineker, 59, who posts about topics including Brexit, racism and coronavirus, said the BBC trusted him to post appropriately.
He said of Beeb boss Tim Davie: “I think he’s perfectly happy with the way I go about my social media... the BBC trusts me to do the right things.”
