That’s the verdict of Antwerp goal hero Lior Refaelov, who insisted: “If you want to beat Tottenham, the formula is ‘high pressing’.
“You hardly see teams in the Premier League try it, but it is the best way to beat them. Our game plan was fabulous, spot-on. We went for it, no fear at all, and man-on-man.
“Beating Tottenham feels like three bonus points in our group stage. There is not a greater team for us to beat than Tottenham in Europe — look at the quality of players in their squad.
“They belong among the best teams in Europe – they were in the Champions League final last year.
“We matched them with our level of play, and at certain moments were on top.
“Did they field all their best players against us?
“There were certainly enough quality players and big names on the pitch.”
