GARETH SOUTHGATE should be happy to cough up the £14.95 pay-per-view fee when Aston Villa host Southampton today.

After all, between them these two clubs had an amazing 14 English players in their starting line-ups last weekend.

No wonder Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl reckons he and Villa counterpart Dean Smith are doing their bit for the Three Lions cause – and Southgate would be getting value for money tuning in.

The Austrian coach insists the England boss can also relax when it comes to eligible youngsters with world-class potential being able to break into a Premier League packed with foreign names. Ex-RB Leipzig coach Hasenhuttl (right) declared: “You don’t have to worry about out English football.

“There are so many talents around. You see how many English players are in our Academy, and how driven they are to make the next step up.

“It’s not a coincidence we have so many. We’re always trying to develop young home players here.

“And, yes, we have some pretty good players. We like to deliver players to Gareth, if we can.”

Saints are shining so far, but

Hase Hasenhuttl does not expect an any sudden demands from his stars to re-negotiate Europa League bonuses into their contracts – as is happening at Villa.

He added: “That should all have been sorted when you signed the deal. It doesn’t make sense during the season to think about what rank you can have at the end of a season.”
