Bees are back in buzz-ness
THOMAS FRANK hailed Brentford’s “complete performance” as his side finally matched their standards of last term.
It has been a disappointing start for the Bees after they made – and lost – last season’s play-off final.
But this display suggested that they were back in business as they took sorry Luton apart.
They were two up before the half hour thanks to a fine effort by Rico Henry and Ivan Toney’s ninth of the season before sub Marcus Forss rounded it off.
And Bees boss Frank said: “This is the first time we have had a complete performance this season. Even before we went 1-0 up, I sensed we were on top.
“We needed to play with personality which we did.
“We played with so much
personality – and 1 ......... Shots on Target .........5 1 .........Shots off Target .........5 5 ................Corners .................4 10................. Fouls.................. 12 1 ................ Offsides ................ 0 78.8..Passing Success % ..... 79 391 ....... Total Passes ........ 428 48.2 .... Possession% .......51.8 51.9...Territorial Adv % ... 48.1 energy. We’re fit and strong. I’m very pleased with the performance but that puts pressure on ourselves. This needs to be our standard.”
