A Jerry nice man
NEIL CRITCHLEY was full of praise for Jerry Yates after he scored his first goals for Blackpool.
The summer signing from Rotherham broke his duck at the 12th attempt as the Seasiders won away from home for the first time this season.
Yates netted the winner from the penalty spot after Daniel Gretarsson’s own goal had cancelled out the striker’s first-half opener. Critchley said: “I am delighted for him because he an infectious personality.
“He brings great energy to the training ground. I love him, the staff love him, the players love him.”
Burton boss Jake Buxton cut a frustrated figure as his side’s winless league run stretched to eight games.
He said: “We are disappointed. We have spoken about how if your performances are correct the results will come. We didn’t put it together.”
