Barrow 1 Bradford 0 Southend 0 Port Vale 2
CONNOR BROWN’S first goal in over a year secured Barrow back-to-back-wins.
Tuesday night’s first Football League win in 48 years was followed up with a narrow win over Bradford, who had Levi Sutton sent off. Barrow boss David Dunn said: “We weren’t as good as Tuesday in terms of possession but it was equally pleasing to see a clean sheet, which was the first in the league this season. That ticked off another box.”
Bradford boss Stuart McCall said: “I knew it would be a game of two halves with the wind.”
JOHN ASKEY believes age is no barrier to
Tom Pope continuing to score goals.
The 35-year-old striker scored his 150th career goal with his double in victory at Southend.
“For me he looks fitter this season than he did last and he will keep getting goals,” Vale boss Askey said.
Southend manager Mark Molesley said: “You can see confidence is lacking at the moment.”
