My artfelt thanks to dazzling Denise
Thank you, Denise van Outen, for making my last night before this lockdown one to remember. I went to see this beautiful, talented lady in Cabaret All Stars, which also features other jaw-dropping acts – from fire-eaters and burlesque dancers to acrobats and singers.
To see Denise on that stage was so emotional. Her powerful voice had the audience spellbound.
Sitting there with the music, enjoying the evening with other people, I felt alive again and remembered how it feels to be touched by such creativity.
The arts are there to enrich our life experience. I don’t want creative people to “rethink, reskill and reboot” as the Government-backed advert advises young people to do post-Covid.
I want talents such as Denise to thrive and inspire the next generation of artistes.
I want future generations to experience the wonder, magic and escapism too.
