There are fewer than 100 days to go before the January 31 self-assessment deadline. You are required to complete a selfassessment if: You have more than £2,500 rental income, have an income of over £50,000 and receive child benefit, have more than £2,500 of untaxed income, are self-employed with a turnover of over £1,000 per annum, you claim expenses in excess of £2,500, have income in excess of £100,000 or have income from overseas.

The Post Office will lose 600 cash machines in the next 18 months – a third of its “holes in the wall”. The machines are operated by Bank of Ireland, which is pulling out of the ATM business.
