This is a good week to think about buying...

Garden play equipment

November may seem like a strange time to think about buying anything that’s going to sit in your garden all winter, but this is not going to be an ordinary winter.

As we head into further Covid-19 restrictions and spend more time at home, families are likely to feel the need to make the most of the fresh air. Anyone with small kids will know spending all day inside your own four walls is challenging.

So having something to keep young ones active and entertained is a good idea. Even if the weather is cold, you can send them out for a bit of fresh air while you watch from the warmth inside – so long as they are safe, of course. Luckily, November is the best time to buy slides and swings – they’re as much as 30% cheaper than in spring. This week, we reckon UK consumers will be buying…

Televisions

It’s that time where loads of good programmes are on – Bake Off is heading to the closing stages, Strictly is well under way and I’m a Celeb isn’t far off. It gets many of us thinking about buying a new TV to enjoy a cosy winter on the sofa.

So telly addicts are in luck, as November is a great time to buy a new TV. While Black Friday sales don’t guarantee every deal is a real bargain, it’s certainly a good idea to keep an eye on any TV models you are interested in. Idealo’s pricing data from last year shows the average saving on a new TV on Black Friday is around 27%.
