Gillingham 3 Woking Tranmere Acc Stanley Leyton Oreint Newport County
PAUL RAYNOR is dreaming of another big tie in round three after a dramatic comeback victory.
Dominic Samuel’s brace and Vadaine Oliver’s winner saw Gillingham through after Woking led through Max Kretzschmar and Josh Davison respectively.
Assistant boss Raynor said: “We had a wonderful tie against West Ham last year. We’re one game away from getting a good game, which is what the FA Cup is about for Gillingham.”
Woking boss Alan Dowson said: “We’ll score goals, but defensively we’re not good at the minute.”
IAN DAWES urged Tranmere to continue their momentum after a second-straight win.
Corey BlackettTaylor and Peter Clarke scored for Rovers, and caretaker boss Dawes said: “We were outstanding. Anyone watching that would have been entertained.”
Away manager John Coleman, who saw Colby Bishop level, said: “Sorry to the chairman, that has cost money in these hard financial times.”
MICHAEL FLYNN hailed the impact of Newport match-winner Jamie Devitt.
Ash Baker’s goal was cancelled out by home prospect Hector Kyprianou, before Devitt struck.
Flynn said: “It was a fantastic goal by Jamie Devitt, it went right into the top corner.”
Orient head coach Ross Embleton said: “We never imposed ourselves at all.”
