Affleck: I’m single but not ready to mingle
Actor takes a break from dating after latest love split Once again, Ben Affleck one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, having split from his girlfriend Ana de Armas.
But the Oscar-winning actor plans to stay solo for the foreseeable future – with one pal joking that he has “made a vow of celibacy”.
Ben’s split from Knives Out star Ana, 32, emerged last week. She allegedly dumped him over the phone.
But sources reveal the pair are still friends and Gone Girl star Ben, 48, now wants to focus on himself and his children – Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and eight-year-old
Samuel, who he co-parents with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. One pal explains: “Ben’s friends want him to take a break from dating, work on himself and stop rushing into romances.
“He jumps headfirst into these very intense relationships and gives them his all, but they implode as soon as the honeymoon’s over.
“Even Ben accepts he would be better off being single for a while.
“He’s going to try giving the single life a go – unless Ana comes back asking for another chance.
“He is really focused on prioritising himself and his kids rather than relationships, and his friends have been joking about him taking an oath of celibacy. Whether or not he can stay single for long remains to be seen.”
Before meeting Ana, Ben was in a relationship with TV producer Lindsay Shookus. They split in 2018 but reunited before ending things for good in April 2019. He also briefly dated model Shauna Sexton in 2018.
Most famously, Ben was engaged to Jennifer Lopez, his co-star in Gigli.
The then-power couple even had their own nickname – Bennifer.
Ben and Ana will be reunited when they promote their upcoming film Deep Water, where they met on set in 2019.
Last week, Ben seemed to tell the world exactly what he thought of his failed romance by putting a cardboard cut out of Ana in the bin outside his LA home. Litter-ally says it all.
