The loss of any children is heartbreaking, but it is especially traumatic when that child is killed by their own parent.

Two years ago we launched a campaign for a change in the law to protect kids at risk from such a plight. Since then, the deaths of six more children at the hands of their violent parents have come to light.

The current law presumes that a biological parent should have access to their son or daughter even if they have a history of violence or sex abuse. The rights of a parent are placed before those of a child.

We believe it should be other way round. How many more innocents’ deaths have to take place before ministers act?

DONALD Trump needed his Diet Coke opened in front of his eyes and had to hear the pop of the new ketchup bottle being unsealed, his hotel employees have revealed.

Staff had a ringbinder of step-by-step instructions on how to serve the former President at his hotel.

He needed hand sanitiser when he sat down, a Diet Coke and prawn cocktail starter right away, then steak and chips for his main course, served with a double helping of Yorkshire puddings.

Picky Melania once sent back her sole because it had garnish on it at the BLT Prime Restaurant.

Staff at his Washington DC hotel revealed what serving the family was like, and praised Trump’s kids as “low key and polite”.

JOE Biden is to declare a major disaster in frozen Texas so more federal cash can be spent on relief for millions of residents.

Spokeswoman Jen Psaki confirmed the new US president’s decision.

Some 14 million Texans are still without clean water after freak snow cut off power and caused pipes to burst, with some resorting to boiling snow.

Temperatures plunged to 30-year lows of -18C earlier this week.

Up to 3.3 million people were left without power and 180,000 homes and businesses are still cut off

Nearly 60 deaths across the country have been blamed on the weather.

Mr Biden has said he will visit Texas as long as his presence does not interfere with relief efforts.
