A NEW law to make school uniforms more affordable could be in place for the next academic year.
It would allow parents to choose where they buy pupils’ kit instead of having to use monopoly suppliers, costing up to £340 a year.
The Education (School Uniforms) Bill passed the Commons on Friday and Labour MP Mike Amesbury called it “a milestone”.
