Comedian Romesh Ranganathan’s
parents were so worried about him assimilating into British culture that they called him Jonathan.
He explains: “I said to my mum and dad, ‘Why did you do this?’ And they go, ‘Just to help you fit in’, and I go, ‘People still know that I’m Asian!’ Do you know what I mean? This is not the undercover agent plan that you think it is.”
