Nothing too good fur my birthday girl

Before I had my dog Vera, I used to think people who gave their pooches presents at Christmas or celebrated their birthdays were quite barking.

But I have to admit that when Vera turned one this week, I bought her a card and we each wrote her a special message, sang Happy Birthday and even got her to blow out the candles on her birthday cake.

She is the fifth member of our gang and plays her part, as we all do, in keeping the family happy, entertained, stress-free and joyful.

The thought of not celebrating her birthday breaks my heart.

So I’m pleased to report that her special day was absolutely pawsome.
