Gibraltar International Airport
Every British territory needs an airport and Gibraltar welcomed theirs during the Second World War.
There’s only one small problem – it crosses one of its busiest roads, the four-lane Winston Churchill Avenue. So if you’re heading to the airport, leave plenty of time just in case you have to wait for a take off or landing.
That said, it’s quite the experience having planes zoom so low over your car.
Gibraltar International Airport also happens to be one of the windiest airports, making for a bumpy landing, particularly in winter.
