HAL ROBSON-KANU believes it would be wrong to blame West Brom’s seemingly inevitable relegation all on current boss Sam Allardyce.

The Baggies are ten points from safety with only nine games left and that means Allardyce, who took over from sacked

Slaven Bilic in mid-December, is facing the drop for the first time.

Striker Robson-Kanu (right) said: “I think Sam has come in and got the group together, playing a specific way, which is conducive to picking up points over time. Every manager needs time and, obviously, it’s been a short period for him.”

Time on the pitch has been in short supply for Robson-Kanu, 31, this season. A broken arm early in the campaign meant relatively few appearances and since Allardyce arrived, the Wales ace has been given cameo roles off the bench.

The ex-Reading ace is out of contract in June.

But whether or not he stays at The Hawthorns, he has hands full with a booming business outside of football. Robson-Kanu founded The Turmeric Co. – a nutritional and health shot company – in 2018.

He added: “I’ve seen many players struggle with depression, addiction and mental health. Having this is good for my mental state and well-being.”
