RUSSELL MARTIN paid tribute to an “outstanding” MK Dons display.

Daniel Harvie fired in a deflected shot in the 76th minute to break Rovers’ resistance after a string of smart saves from Louis Jones had kept the home side at bay.

“It was a brilliant performance, I don’t take any of these performances for granted, on a tough pitch against a very good team,” said manager Martin.

“To limit them to one shot on target is outstanding, the only frustration is we didn’t score earlier and more.”

Interim Doncaster boss Andy Butler said: “We lacked in the final third. We’ll address it.”
