Three Lions roar back in to the charts
COMIC duo David Baddiel and Frank Skinner are to release Three Lions again – for the seventh time.
The reissue for the European Championships will mark the 25th anniversary of the original song, recorded with the Lightning Seeds, reaching No1.
Skinner revealed the rerelease on BBC One’s Graham Norton Show, and said: “We’ve milked it.”
He added: “Last summer I received a Guinness Book of Records package with two framed certificates.
“The first was for being No1 four times and the next was for the biggest drop in the same week. We fell 96 places in 2018.”
A different version to the original also hit No1 on its release for the 1998 World Cup. It was put out again in 2002 and 2006.
