Imelda Staunton says Queen

Imelda takes over from Olivia Colman as the monarch in the fifth instalment of the show – and opens up about her fears.
“There’s so much weight of the past and not only herself but the series. I bear that weight,” she admits to Esther Rantzen on her podcast, That’s After Life.
“I have to sit in my room getting frightened, thinking, ‘I can’t do it, I can’t do it’, then you start and you get on with it.
“I’m hoping she won’t be watching. I think she’ll go, ‘I think I know myself by now and I don’t need to watch anyone else who thinks she knows me’.”
