Soldado: No fears of United

- BY TOM HOPKINSON April 15.”.

ROBERTO SOLDADO and his Granada team-mates will show Manchester United respect over the two legs of their Europa League quarter-final clash – but no fear at all.

The former Tottenham striker says beating Italian giants Napoli in the round of 32 is proof his Spanish side need fear no one.

Soldado, who had a rough time in England, scoring just seven goals in 52 top-flight games for Spurs, said: “For Granada, it is an enormous success to reach the last eight of the Europa League. But now we want more.”

Mid-table La Liga outfit Granada are playing in Europe for the first time in their history, and Soldado added: “United are a hard rival, but so were Napoli and the other teams we have played, and yet we are the team that qualified.

“Because of their history and statistics, United will be favourites but we start the game 50-50 to go through.

“The key for the first leg is to not think about the fact that we are playing against Manchester United and just to believe in our own chances. If we develop our normal game, then we can make it uncomfortable for them.

“The work in our own penalty area will be very important.

“We haven’t conceded a goal at home in the knockout stages and it’s important if we can do that again on Thursday night ahead of the second-leg game at Old Trafford on
