Warning to Robins

- BY ALEX BYWATER

NIGEL PEARSON has warned Bristol City it will take at least two to three years for them to achieve their Premier League dream.

Interim Robins boss Pearson saw his team suffer a seventh straight home Championship defeat, against Stoke on Good Friday.

“If our aspirations are to be a Premier League side, then we’ve probably got between four and six transfer windows to create a squad,” said Pearson. “I am under no illusions there is a considerable job to do.”

Michael Rose (below) suffered a double blow on Friday which has made him a big doubt for Coventry tomorrow.

Rose scored an own-goal in the 3-0 loss at QPR before hobbling off with an injury boss Mark Robins described as “a gash to a part of his anatomy I daren’t mention, but needless to say he is limping”.
