Borussia Dortmund Eintracht Frankfurt

BORUSSIA DORTMUND warmed up for their Champions League clash with Manchester City by crashing again to Eintracht Frankfurt.

And they face a major fight to make next season’s tournament – unless they win Europe’s premier cup competition – as they continue to slide down the Bundesliga table.

Striker Andre Silva (above) headed in an 87th-minute winner to give his side a boost in their bid for the top four.

Silva headed in a Filip Kostic cross for his 22nd league goal of the season to lift Frankfurt seven points clear of Dortmund in fifth.

Frankfurt led after Dortmund’s Nico Schulz wrongfooted his own keeper with a header in the 11th minute.

A labouring Dortmund – with Erling Haaland having little service – were fortunate appeals for a clear handball by Thomas Delaney were waved away.

Mats Hummels volleyed in the equaliser only for

Silva’s late intervention.
