MAKESHIFT striker Ronan Curtis will lead the Pompey forward line again as new boss

Danny Cowley seeks a fourth successive win away at Wigan.

With banned John Marquis still absent, Cowley will once more turn to Curtis (below) following his goal against Rochdale on Friday.

His display drew admiration from Cowley, who said: “The No.9 role is such a specialised role. I thought he did a great job for the team.”

Viv Solomon-Otabor is a doubt for Wigan as the Latics manage his fitness due to floating bones in a knee.

The 25-year-old’s commitment has been praised by manager Leam Richardson as he played through the pain to start the past two.

Will Keane will hope to be reinstated up front.
