Oliver’s the man for Gills

Gillingham GILLINGHAM will look to regain a place in the play-off zone against fellow challengers Blackpool, who sit two points ahead of them in sixth place in the table.

Gills boss Steve Evans will again be relying on in-form striker Vadaine Oliver to fire them to victory.

Evans said of the 17-goal top scorer: “If you give Vadaine Oliver chances then he’ll score goals.”

Dominic Samuel will be on the bench again following three months out, but Robbie Cundy (knee) remains a doubt.

On-loan Daniel Ballard was an unused sub against Swindon after his return from international duty, so could be called upon.

James Husband, Marvin Ekpiteta and Gary Madine are making good progress in their recoveries from injury, although this match may come too soon.
