Halfords car park‘murder’

POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after another male was “apparently run over” in a Halfords car park.

The victim, 20, was discovered with serious head injuries under a white Volkswagen Golf.

Police said: “He was pronounced dead a short time afterwards.”

The arrested man, 25, was detained by members of the public at the scene in Sheldon, Birmingham, on Friday night. Officers are recovering CCTV and appealed for information.
