Jess Phillips troll is jailed

A TROLL has been jailed for sending hundreds of hate-filled messages to Labour MP Jess Phillips.

Tony Eckersley, 52, from Salford, Greater Manchester, called Ms Phillips a “treasonous cow” and suggested that she and other MPs deserved to be victims of a terror attack.

Judge Hilary Manley said “keyboard warrior” Eckersley’s emails were “diatribes punctuated with sinister threats” at Manchester Crown Court. He was sentenced to 28 months.
