It’s a sad loss for Queen... and country

It’s sad news that Prince Philip has passed away aged 99. It’s the end of an era.

The Queen called him her “strength and guide” during her 73 years of marriage. What an amazing life he led – from being born on a kitchen table in Corfu, to being exiled, going on to have a remarkable Navy career and then marrying Princess Elizabeth, supporting her throughout her decades as Queen. It takes a great man to serve Queen and country – he did both with distinction.
