We share Kate’s joy in having Derek home
So many of us have been watching Kate Garraway’s updates about husband Derek Draper, who spent over a year in hospital after catching Covid last March.
Her courageous documentary, watched by more than four million, gave a raw insight into all that she and her two children have been coping with. So many of us were heartbroken for her.
But we all felt the joy when it was revealed that Derek went home this week.
Medics believe his recovery will hopefully improve by being with his family. While there is still a long way to go, I’m sure it’s a huge relief for the whole family to have him home at last.
Their story is a real testament to never giving up hope.
