A HELICOPTER dodges red hot lava spewing from a live volcano.
Thousands have been evacuated to safe zones since La Soufrière erupted on St Vincent on Friday.
Yesterday, as cots, tents and respirators were distributed at shelters for 16,000, vast 3.7-milehigh plumes of dark ash choked skies above the Caribbean island.
Volunteer Lavern King said: “The place in general is in a frenzy.”
Resident Zen Punnett, said: “I can feel and hear rumbling in the green safe zone. I’m keeping calm as much as possible and praying.”
