PLANT of the week Magnolia ‘Sunrise’

-

It’s magnolia season and there are some real showstoppers in bloom at the moment. ‘Sunrise’ is a compact variety, growing slowly to about two metres in height.

It has big, creamy, fragrant, gobletshaped flowers with a red flare at the base of each petal.

This would do well in a small garden or courtyard in a sheltered position. Plant in full sunshine or partial shade in moist but welldrained soil.
