Barca will block Kop Pedri bid
BARCELONA have moved to fend off Liverpool’s interest in rising star Pedri by offering him a new deal.
The attacking midfielder, 18, has been a revelation at the Nou Camp this season after breaking into the first team at the start of the campaign.
And his form with Barca has seen him capped three times by Spain already.
Liverpool have recorded their interest with the player’s representatives, but the Catalan giants want to extend his current contract.
That still has another year to run, with the option of two more years and a release clause of around £70million.
Under the new terms on offer, Pedri would get a four-year deal, with a release clause closer to an eye-watering — and prohibitive — £350m.
