LINGARD IS TARGET FOR GUNNERS
ARSENAL plan to hijack West Ham’s bid to sign resurgent England star Jesse Lingard this summer.
The Gunners were keen to take the Manchester United forward (above), 28, on loan in January but eventually lost out to the Hammers.
That was more down to United’s reluctance to hand Arsenal, who were perceived the greater threat in the Premier League, any sort of help.
However, the Irons have no agreement to buy Lingard outright at the end of season – and that leaves the door open for Arsenal to swoop.
